Christ commanded us to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, and bring freedom to the oppressed. He tells us “Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto Me.” Human Concerns is about service to those in need, but also much more. The Human Concerns committee is commissioned to do direct service (through our support of Family Promise, Elizabeth Ministry and SVDP), justice education, advocacy and empowerment. It means learning about the causes of injustice, speaking out on behalf of the vulnerable and voiceless, and helping people to help themselves. New members are welcomed to join Human Concerns Committee.
